We Voted!

Monday, November 5 was our first day back after Hurricane Sandy. Despite the fact that we lost power AGAIN during school, we had a guest sign language interpreter AND our Halloween party, we had a chance to vote in our own election.

We didn’t however, vote for the President.

The children cast votes for “who” would accompany me to the NAEYC Conference in Atlanta GA.

The candidates were:

The Dog

or

The Guinea Pig

The children went into our “voting booth” and cast their ballots.

One Tuesday, November 6th, the class counted the votes. The results?

The Dog: 6

The Guinea Pig: 9

I promised the children I would post pictures here of the guinea pig with me at the conference.
Here’s the guinea pig at the airport this morning, and at the hotel. Can you find it looking out the window?

Hoping the plane takes off before the storm!

If you look VERY carefully in the middle, you can see the guinea pig on the railing! Hello Atlanta!
