Here are some examples of hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities. Hands-on. (Ok, Car’s on!) The leopard makes the numeral 3, growls included!   When children are in charge of the calendar, they practice one to one correspondence, left to right progression, (extremely important pre-reading skills!) patterning and numeral recognition.
